New NISSAN JUKE Hybrid 2023

Nissan has finally electrified the Juke crossover by making it a European hybrid. The good news and the bad news are that efficiency has improved, but practicality has suffered due to the addition of hardware. The subcompact model can be started only by electric power. The combustion engine will not kick in if the car is in first gear.

The 2023 Juke Hybrid combines a 1.6-litre gasoline motor and an electric one. The former produces 94 horsepower (69kilowatts) as well as 148 Newton-meters of torque (109 pound-feet), while the latter has 49 hp (36.5 kW) and is capable of generating 205 Nm (151lb-ft). Renault, Nissan’s alliance partner, supplied the inverter as well as the starter/generator of 15 kW and the water-cooled battery packs with a capacity of 1.2 kWh.

Nissan’s iconic compact crossover, the JUKE, will soon welcome a new powertrain to its lineup with a hybrid powertrain, delivering responsive performance combined with reduced emissions/consumption.

Guillaume Cartier, the chairperson of Nissan AMIEO region, stated that Nissan’s electrified product strategy had gained momentum. The JUKE Hybrid will join the lineup later in the year and will mark another milestone in our strategic ambition for having a fully-electrified range for 2023.

JUKE Hybrid is a hybrid powertrain that combines traditional internal combustion engines with electric capability. This will allow for key customer benefits such as 100% electric start-up.

You can drive in any situation with ease. The smart multi-modal gearbox and efficient regenerative brakes provide excellent fuel economy.

A high-performance battery is also central to developing this hybrid powertrain. Customers of JUKE value a fun driving experience.

This new powertrain is powerful, responsive, and efficient, allowing an even more thrilling driving experience.

This new hybrid powertrain fully uses the Alliance’s engineering strengths.

The JUKE hybrid powertrain is a state-of-the-art Nissan internal combustion engine specifically designed for hybrid powertrain applications.

It can produce a maximum power output of 69kW (94hp) and torque outputs of 148Nm. The main electric motor produced 36kW (49hp) and 205Nm torque and was supplied by Nissan.

Renault supplied the 15kW high-voltage starter/generator, inverter, and 1.2kWh water-cooled battery.

This powertrain provides 25% more power than the existing petrol engine option, a fuel consumption reduction of up to 40% in urban cycles and as much as 20% combined.

The JUKE Hybrid will feature the same e-Pedal step technology as the LEAF pure EV. This allows the car’s progress to be controlled using the accelerator pedal.

The new Hybrid version retains the JUKE’s sporty crossover coupe design. Every detail has been carefully considered, and several minor changes have been made to optimize its aerodynamic efficiency and distinguish the JUKE Hybrid from the electrified model.

The front doors and tailgate now sport “Hybrid” badges. JUKE Hybrid’s front grille now features the new Nissan brand logo. It also has a strip of black gloss material at the junction of the hood and the grille.

This makes it more in line with other electrified Nissan models that share the same design motif. Because the Hybrid model requires less cooling, the grille has a mesh design and a smaller opening to optimize aero efficiency.

To improve airflow, modifications were made below the bumper.

A radiator grille shutter was also added to the hybrid version.

This allows airflow to adjust automatically according to cooling requirements, which reduces aero drag.

Nissan Juke Hybrid release date 2023

Nissan will release a hybrid version of its popular compact SUV, Juke. With an official release date still to be announced, the new hybrid Juke could arrive in UK showrooms by mid-to-late 2023.

Is it worth buying Nissan Juke?

Great car at a great price. The Nissan Juke has a large car feel but at a reasonable price. The 1.6L 16v engine has enough power to keep you safe but is also economical and efficient in fuel consumption.

Is the Nissan Juke a EV?

The JUKE Hybrid can not only start 100% in electric mode, but it can also reach speeds of up to 55kph pure EV. This gives drivers a strong, consistent, and sustained EV driving experience.

Is the Juke hybrid a plug in?

Nissan won’t build a plug-in hybrid. This proclamation was made at a recent media conference by Nissan. It is why the Nissan Juke Hybrid cannot be plugged into to increase its electric range, despite many competitors that can.

When did the Nissan Juke hybrid come out?

Summer 2023
The powertrain is built around a 93bhp, 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 48bhp electric motor. Both drive through a low-friction, automatic gearbox designed specifically for hybrid applications.
