🧠 How Range Is Calculated

Base Range = (Battery Capacity × 1000) / Efficiency (in Wh/mi). Then we apply five adjustment factors:

  • Temperature: Cold reduces battery efficiency; extreme heat increases cabin cooling load.
  • Driving Style: Aggressive acceleration & high speeds consume more energy.
  • Terrain: Hills and inclines increase energy demand.
  • Climate Control: Heating or cooling the cabin draws significant power.
  • Degradation: Battery capacity naturally decreases over time.

Final range = Base Range × (Temperature Factor × Style Factor × Terrain Factor × Climate Factor × Degradation Factor). All factors are derived from real‑world EV data and studies.
